Vieholmgård - a former farm
A farm without animals is like Donald Duck without Huey, Dewey and Louis. That is the main reason that we have many animals at the surrounding 12 hektar former farmlands, that surrounds Sankt Helene. During the summer you can actually visit or even touch the animals in their natural surroundings. The rest of the year the can rest and be left alone, while the newborn animals get used to all the attention they will achieve during summer.
Feeding the animals
Every morning in the school summer holidays we let families participate in feeding the animal. Not that the animals need feeding at this particular time of the year when the grass is green, but because it gives you a chance to get a closer look. An amazingly popular acivity, that all kids love.
Sheep
Sankt Helene has many sheep and every spring new ones come along when they breed. If you come at easter you will see very small og cute lambs along side their sheep Mum.
Rabbits
Sankt Helene has a variety of cute and dear pets. For instance rabbits who run around in an old hens yard, and a few that come closer to the audience during the summer when old enough to move away from their mother.
