Holiday on two wheels
It is a very good idea to bring your bike when vacationing in North Zealand, and when staying at Sankt Helene most things will be only minutes away by bike. Gribskov Municipality has many bicycle paths and is therefore a popular holiday destination for people who want to spend most of their holidays outdoors getting a lot of fresh air.
Cycling Denmark
Sankt Helene is a member of Cycling Denmark - a brand for guests who are spending their holiday on bicycles. As a place of accommodation for bicyclers you must live up to standards, that secure them a quality experience.
The North Coast Path
The North Coast Path – bicycle route 47 – goes from Helsingør to Hundested along the beautiful Kattegat coast. It passes interesting monuments, breathtaking panoramas, restaurants, places offering overnight accommodation, beaches and much more. The route is about 65 kilometres long.
Local Bicycle Routes no. 701 and 702
Sankt Helene has various maps to help cyclists find their way in the area. One of them is the new Map of Bicycle Routes and Paths in Helsinge Municipality, which shows two signposted bicycle routes in the area: Route 701 and Route 702 established in 2001. On the map mentioned above, 3 additional routes are depicted. However, no signs have been posted for these routes yet.
The route from Tisvilde to Hillerød (Laugoe-Ørby-Pølleå)
Today, path no. 32 connects Hillerød and Tisvildeleje. Until November 12, 2001, bikers had to take the highway from Helsinge to Tisvilde, but since that Sunday they have been able use the new ‘Laugø Ørby’ path which forms the last part of the biking path now connecting Hillerød and Tisvilde.
