Sankt Helene has 25 holiday apartments. 15 of these are for 6 persons and 10 are for 4 persons.
Amphitheatre
From the amphitheatre you have a great view of the marsh, and the place is perfect for groups to arrange entertainment.
Animals
Sankt Helene is the home of sheep, goats and rabbits.

We have all kinds of audio-visual aids, and if we do not have what you need, we will get it for you.

Banks
There is no bank but a bank machine in Tisvilde, the nearest bank is in Helsinge.
Bar
The bar is open every night during the summer, or by appointment.
Barbeque/Grill
We have two gas grills and two rental grills for use over a campfire.
Basketball court
We have a basketball court on grass. Basketballs can be borrowed against a deposit.
Beach
In a direct line from Sankt Helene, there is only 800 metres to the inviting beaches and waves of the Kattegat.
Bed linen
Is mandatory. You can either bring it or rent it.
Beer
The reception, the café and the restaurant sell beer.
Billiards
We have a table for billiards, as well as a pool table.
Blow dryer
Can be borrowed at the reception desk.
Boule
Or petanque can be played at Sankt Helene. Balls can be borrowed against a deposit.
Breakfast buffet
Our breakfast buffet displays a wide selection of ecological products along with a variety of almost whatever you might expect to find at a breakfast table.

Buses
from Frederiksværk- Frederikssund bus no. 319 will take you to Helsinge then take ’Gribskovbanen’ to Tisvildeleje
from Elsinore via Græsted bus no. 331 will take you to Helsinge then take ’Gribskovbanen’ to Tisvildeleje
from Gilleleje via Græsted-Helsinge bus no. 363 will take you to Tisvildeleje. From Græsted via Rågeleje-Vejby bus no. 357 will take you to Tisvildeleje.

Cabins
Sankt Helene has 18 cabins with communal kitchen and bathing facilities.
Café
At Café Helene, we serve hot chocolate, cappucino, coffee, the, etc.
Campfires
There are 7 campfires; you can borrow sticks for making twist bread and a group can buy the dough.
Campsite
We have 2 campsites for small tents.
School camp
Our cabins are perfect for schools on a ‘self-service’ basis, another option is room and board at the youth hostel.
Cards
Are sold at the reception desk.
Chess
There is a giant outdoor chessboard.
Chickens
Are to be found at the pen.
Classification
As a youth hostel, ‘Danhostel Tisvildeleje Youth Hostel’ (which is part of Sankt Helene) has been awarded 4 stars. As a holiday complex, Sankt Helene has been awarded 3 stars. The activities for children: 4 stars, and activities for adults: 3 stars.
Cleaning
Guests can either clean their apartment/room/cabin themselves or pay us to do so.
Climbing tree
Can be found at the playground by the cabins.
Climbing wall
Can be found at the playground by the cabins (height: 3 meters).
Copenhagen card
Copenhagen Cards can be bought at Sankt Helene. A card applies for train and bus fares and all the sights of Copenhagen and North Zealand.
Communal kitchen
Sankt Helene has three communal kitchens.
Communal TV room
We have a communal TV room, but you can also rent a TV.
Computers
In all meeting rooms, you can plug in your own computer.
Courses
We offer facilities, including room and board for courses of max. 200 participants.

Can be played in the basement. Arrows can be borrowed against a deposit.
Departure
From cabins and rooms before 10 AM, and from apartments before 12 AM.
Diner transportable
Restaurant Sofie also does catering for parties.

Tisvilde is not far from anything. Within a range of 50 kilometres, you will find many different kinds of sights and landmarks.

Field kits
Borrow a field kit for an adventure with your family, your classmates, or your colleagues. You can choose between 4 different trails.
Fire protection
Please note the position of fire extinguishers etc. at arrival.

We sell firewood for our 7 campfires (price: DKK 50)
Foreign currencies
Can be exchanges at the reception desk.
Forest
It takes app. 10 minutes to walk to ‘Tisvilde Hegn’ with its large variety of trees and bushes.

Gallery
At short intervals, exhibitions of sculptures, crafting and photos are to be found in our Gallery and in the foyer of the Centre Building.
Goats
In the pen, we have goats with their calves.
Games
At the reception desk, a vast array of games can be borrowed against a deposit.
Garbage
is sorted according to the criteria of the Green Key. There are numerous garbage cans at various locations at Sankt Helene.
Green Key
Sankt Helene has been awarded the environmental certificate ’The Green Key’, which is a certificate awarded to hotels and youth hostels that live up to a long list of environmental requirements.
Guided nature trails
Can be arranged for groups either by our guide or by Esrum Mill Environmental School.

Sankt Helene has a grass handball court.
Holiday apartments
Sankt Helene has 25 holiday apartments. 15 of these are for 6 persons and 10 are for 4 persons.
Horseback riding
If you wish to go horseback riding, some of the farms in Tisvildeleje have horses for rent or arrange rides in the woods.

Can be bought at the reception desk.
Indian camp
During the summer, our squaw will be at her tepee at the same day every week to meet with whoever wishes to be an Indian for a while.

At the reception desk, you will find all kinds of tourist information; specific information about Sankt Helene can be found at the rooms; newspapers can be borrowed; and if you wish to be informed via the Internet, all guests have free access to the Internet during opening hours of the reception desk.
Internet
There are ADSL in all meeting rooms for connecting your own computer. Furthermore, all guests have free access to the Internet during opening hours of the reception desk.
Iron
Can be borrowed at the reception desk. Ironing board can be found at the laundry.

Jogging trail
There is a jogging trail of app. 1 kilometre around the area of Sankt Helene. For longer distances, we recommend ‘Tisvilde Hegn’.

Opening hours: 8 AM-9 PM. However, outside the peak season the kiosk closes at 7 PM.

There are two coin-operated laundries with washing machines and tumblers. Washing powder can be bought at the reception desk.
Library
In our basement, we have a small selection of books, magazines, and periodicals.
Lost property
Is kept for one month, and then sent to a charitable organization.
Ludo
Can be borrowed at the reception desk.
Luggage
Can be left at the reception for short periods of time. Luggage carts available.

The Trojan castle set in stone can be of much fun to children as well as adults.

We have eight meeting rooms ranging from a capacity of 10-250 persons.

Our Nature Team will have ideas and advice concerning trips in the countryside surrounding Sankt Helene

There is 2 kilometres of unpaved road taking you around the area of Sankt Helene and our school forest.

No noise after 11 PM.

It is possible to do a bit of orienteering in ‘Tisvilde Hegn’. Buy a map at the kiosk.

Our capacity as to parking space is 200 cars and 4 buses.
Parties
If you wish to throw a birthday party at Restaurant Sofie, the restaurant has secluded assembly rooms for private parties.
Petanque
Or boule, can be played at Sankt Helene. Balls can be borrowed against a deposit.
Playgrounds
There are two playgrounds at Sankt Helene offering various challenges.
Porcelain
The apartments have porcelain. When staying at a room or a cabin, you can rent a box of porcelain for 2 persons.

Quiz trail
At our nature trail, a list of questions concerning the surrounding nature has been placed in 10 different locations around the trail – the questions are manageable for everybody.

Radio
In the communal room of Sankt Helene, you will find a sound system.
Reception desk
Opening hours: 8 AM – 9 PM. In July open till 11 PM. During the fall and winter it closes at 7 PM.
Rental bikes
At ‘Servicehjørnet’, you can rent bikes for adults. They are rented on a daily or weekly basis.
Restaurant
Restaurant Sofie is open for dining a la carte from June 15 – August 15.
Rooms
Sankt Helene has 40 family rooms with 4 beds and bath and toilet.

Valuables can be handed in at the reception desk, and they will be put in our safe.

In the communal TV room, you can watch international channels.
School forest
Our school forest contains 7-8 types of forest that are typically Danish. The quiz trail runs through our school forest.
Seesaws
At our playground for small children, you will find seesaws.

We are very dedicated to being flexible and providing a good service to our guests.

In the pen, we have Icelandic sheep with their lambs
Shopping
There are supermarkets in Tisvildeleje, and during the Summer, you can buy vegetables at the local market.
Soccer field
Close to Sankt Helene there are two training fields
Soccer machine
Sankt Helene has a hand-operated game machine consisting of a small soccer field and players.
Staff
Everybody knows a little or some about everything and a lot about their particular field. We are dedicated to giving our guests good service.
Station
Godhavn is the nearest stop when coming from or going to Hillerød and Copenhagen. It takes app. 5 minutes to walk from Godhavn to Sankt Helene.
Swings
Are to be found at the small children’s playground and by the cabins.

Table reservation
Outside the peak season (June 15-August 15), dinner at Restaurant Sofie requires a reservation of both table and menu.
Table tennis
We have several tables for table tennis, and bats and balls can be borrowed against a deposit.
Taxi
Call 48 70 92 22 for the local taxi service.
Telephone
Rooms and apartments do not have a phone, but there is a  pay phones by the restaurant. If we receive calls for you, we will of course let you know.
Tennis
The tennis courts are be rented by the hour.
Training camp
We mostly host soccer training camps, Friday through Sunday.
Trains
There are trains from Hillerød every hour and it takes 75 minutes to reach Tisvilde from Copenhagen.

All holiday apartments have a TV set with Danish Channels, the communal TV room has a TV with foreign channels.
